Expert Sinus Wash Tips and Advice for Mold Sufferers

by Catherine

In our house, we all use saline sinus washes. My kids are so used to rinsing out their noses that when they become congested, feel sinus pressure, post-nasal drip, or feel dust and dirt in their noses, they ask for me to prepare a saline bottle for them. Sounds crazy, I know, but they understand relief and know that rinsing their sinuses can give it to them. They have always had a positive experience, so there isn’t any fear.

Many people feel intimidated by it and wonder if it will hurt or sting, so they stay away from sinus irrigation and go for over-the-counter remedies or nasal sprays instead. If the problem is mold, allergens or irritation, though, those drugstore remedies won’t do any good.

Here is a link to a helpful article to answer your questions and dispel your fears about sinus irrigation. The article includes product advice and sinus wash directions that are easy to follow and understand. I hope you find it helpful.

Here’s to clean noses, and healthy sinuses!
